MANHATTAN FARMS SEEDS
This envelope contains 5 seed packages, one of each variety pictured and a pamphlet about this vegetable collection. The box also contains a 32 page "Short Course in City Gardening" booklet.
Ancho Pepper Used fresh this is called a Poblono and is great for chile rellenos and salsa fresca. Dried anchos are the bases for chile sauce.
Jalapeno Pepper This is a favourite of hot pepper lovers everywhere. Its fiery flavour is great in salsa and other dishes.
Tomatillo The lemony tart flavour of this plant's fruit is the base of salsa verde. The plant presents its fruits exquisitely wrapped in lime green Chinese lanterns.
Cilantro Also known as coriander and Chinese parsley, this plant's leaves are indispensable in salsas. Mature seeds are ground up and used in curries and baking. It does best in shady cooler spots and will grow well indoors. Pot size 6” to 8” deep.
Tomato
The Campbell Soup Co developed this tomato a long time ago and still wins taste tests for home gardeners. It's a determinate tomato and produces lots of 4 to 7 ounce red coloured fruits.
