Nasturtium

These showy orange flowers have a wonderful peppery flavour.  Plants make mounds of profuse blooms about 12” tall.   You will need a container 8" deep.  

Johnny Jump Ups

This wild pansy's purple and yellow flowers make a joyful garnish for salads.  Grow about 6” tall.   Use a 6” deep container.  

Calendula

Another peppery flavoured flower, the petals are used by the Dutch to flavour soups and stews.  Grow 24” tall.   Use an 8” deep container.  

Borage

The Blue Star flowers were used in wines to bring courage and joy to those who drank.  Grow about 30” tall.  Use a container at least 8” deep.  

Garlic Chives

The flowers of these perennials have a delicate garlic flavour.  You can harvest the flowers and leaves in the second year.  Grow 12” to 18: tall. Use a container at least 6” deep.
